That's one of the coolest day jobs, ever.
oho JEALOUS! What an awesome job!!!
I'm so fortunate!
Wow! That would be a fun job. Lucky you!
Oh how lovely! I didn't know that you work in museums. Hopefully you will be able to give us the inside scoop on corset-making :-)
Do you work in a museum or are you a professional photographer? In both I would terribly, terribly envy you. How did you get there? I'd love to know, because I'm kind of in a crisis right now, on which way I should go. Many greetings!
Hi Maelis!I do work in a museum and before that spent many years working as a photographer. I feel so fortunate to be able to research and work with gorgeous garments and other interesting objects. What kind of crisis are you in? I'll email you with a bit more information so I don't ramble on forever in a comment. Talk to you soon!
You lucky thing! What an awesome job! Are you just the photographer, or do you research and study outfits?Of course, I spent 5 years working for a fabulous museum and quit just over a year ago to pursue my 'dream' job, so my envy is tinged with a bit of nostalgia and a LOT of pragmatism about the realities of museum work!
I get to research and study garments too!
Hi, could you tell me what light/equiptment you use. Im looking to buy a studio kit for costume photography and you look like the person who would know
The museum set up is super simple, just two flash units. The Fotodiox L-300 we use isn't bad. It's small and easy to set up and break down, has a model light, and allows control over output. Two of them should take care of most of your flash needs if your doing similar work.
