While I sort out the elastic issues for the corselet I thought I'd use the time to take better pictures of the garments I've made. Here is a much (much!) better photograph of Norah Waugh's Corsets and Crinolines 1780 stays.
I never comment but your blog is the one I'm most excited about when it updates- it's so clear you put in so much work behind the scenes and I Love seeing your process.
I'm an artist, so it's all about the eye candy. Looking forward to the corselet completion!
Gorgeous! It's oh so pretty. And the binding looks so neatly done! I know how hard that must have been, because I'm struggling with teh bias tape on my very first stays at the moment and I'll be satisfied if it looks a quarter as neat as yours.
This is the most ridiculously beautiful corset I have ever seen. Thank you SO much for documenting its progress!! I actually have this very corset partially-completed in a box of unfinished projects somewhere, and now I really want to take it out and finish it! This is gorgeous - your fabric choice was perfect!
Oh my gosh, It's stunning! Wonderful use of fabric and layout. Beautiful! You should be proud.
